Working with me

Amu is the designer I would put in front of any client. When we brought on a new card provider, they mapped the whole issuing flow, from ordering and funding to freezing a card, and made it feel like it had always been part of the product. They ask the uncomfortable questions early, make a call, and then stay close to the engineers until it ships. I have not had to explain a decision twice.

What stood out was how Amu argues. They would bring a position to a critique, defend it properly, and then change their mind in front of the room when someone showed them a better reading. That is rarer than talent. Their research on short-form content and narrative comes from the same place: a refusal to accept that fast has to mean shallow.

Handoff used to mean a week of back and forth. Amu's specs answer the questions before we ask them, and when something is not feasible they would rather hear it on day one than be polite about it on day ten. They sit in our QA sessions, they read the build, and they notice the two pixels. It makes us better at our jobs.
